Description
The D-Line Small Cable Tidy Unit is a black cable management box that hides a power board and its tangle of cords, supplied here as a single unit for desks, TV units and gaming set-ups. It keeps cable clutter out of sight, helps make floors and shelves easier to clean, and has a neat, modern look that sits comfortably beside AV and IT equipment.
About the product
The box is moulded from electrically safe ABS plastic and finished with a click-lock lid. Three slots in the rear let cables enter or leave to the left, to the right or straight up, so the front face stays tidy. It has been tested and certified to BS EN 60670-22:2006, and the retailer data lists a UL94 V-0 flame-retardant rating. It holds power boards up to 280mm long.
Where to use it
Indoors: behind or beside a TV and AV equipment, under or beside a desk, around a gaming or home office set-up, or in any spot where power boards and spare cable length create clutter.
It also keeps power points and plugs less accessible to curious pets and small children, and removes a common trip hazard from the floor.
How to use it
- Place the power board inside the box and tuck the excess cable in around it.
- Feed the cords out through whichever of the three rear slots suits your layout (left, right or vertical).
- Close the lid until it clicks into place.
- Where cords run along a wall or skirting, D-Line trunking can be used to cover the entry and exit cables for an even tidier finish.
Important notes
Check that your power board is no longer than 280mm before buying. The unit is sold as a single box only, and power boards, trunking and cables are not included. Keep cables from being pinched by the lid, and do not cover or stack other items over a power board that is in use.
