The Dewalt DCE560N-XJ is an 18V cordless caulking gun that takes the effort out of laying beads of sealant and adhesive, supplied here as a skin only tool for anyone who already owns Dewalt 18V XR batteries. It is built for tradies and keen DIYers who want steady, controllable output on long runs and thick products, without squeezing a manual trigger all day.
About the product
The gun pushes with up to 2500N (254kg) of force, enough to move high-viscosity sealants and construction adhesives through a nozzle. Output is set with a variable speed dial and fine-tuned with a variable speed trigger, so you can match the flow to the product and the joint. The plunger rod retracts automatically when you stop, which helps cut down drips, waste and clean-up. An integrated LED lights the work area, the dispenser rotates through 360 degrees for awkward angles, and a rubber overmoulded grip keeps it comfortable to hold.
Where to use it
Indoors: sealing around baths, basins, benchtops, skirtings, architraves and window frames, and applying panel or construction adhesive in renovations and fit-outs.
Outdoors: sealing and gluing on decks, cladding, gutters, door and window frames and general building work, using products suited to exterior use.
How to use it
- Fit a charged Dewalt 18V XR battery (not included).
- Load a 300 to 310ml cartridge into the cartridge holder, cut the nozzle to suit the bead size you need, and seat the holder on the gun.
- Set the speed dial for the material, then squeeze the variable speed trigger to dispense. Harder pressure on the trigger gives a faster flow.
- Release the trigger to stop the flow. The plunger retracts automatically to help prevent dripping.
- Use the LED to check the joint in dim corners and enclosed spaces.
Important notes
This is a skin only unit, so the battery and charger are sold separately. Interchangeable cartridge holders are available separately, and the retailer data lists a sausage carrier option, so check which holder you need for the pack size you plan to use. Always follow the instructions of the sealant or adhesive you are dispensing, including nozzle size, working time and cure time.

Care and storage
Remove the battery before loading, changing cartridges or cleaning the tool. Wipe uncured sealant or adhesive off the plunger and holder promptly, following the cleaning directions on the product you used. Store the gun in a dry place away from extreme heat, and keep it out of reach of children.
