About the product
Each bi-metal hole saw has a double-tooth design that strengthens the teeth for longer life, and a sharper tooth shape that helps it cut quickly. The deep-cut body is made to get through 2-by timber in a single pass, so you can finish many jobs without flipping the work over. Thick, hardened backing plates help protect the threads from stripping, and the taller high-speed steel cutting edge is built for tougher jobs.
Where to use it
Indoors: pipe and cable penetrations through stud walls, joists and plywood, cutting door lock and latch holes, fitting downlights and cabinet or benchtop cut-outs.
Outdoors: pipe and conduit runs through timber framing, decking and fencing, and general site and workshop drilling.

How to use it
Pick the saw size you need and fit it to the mandrel that suits it, then secure the mandrel in your drill chuck. Clamp the workpiece, start slowly so the pilot bit centres the cut, then increase speed and let the teeth do the work with steady, moderate pressure. Back the saw out now and then to clear chips and keep heat down, and use cutting lubricant when cutting metal. When you finish, remove the plug from the saw and return each piece to its slot in the case.
Important notes
These saws are intended for wood, metal and plastics, and are not designed for masonry, concrete or tile. Use a drill in good condition with a chuck that suits the mandrel, and always check the fit of the saw on the mandrel before starting. Care and storage
Wear safety glasses and gloves, and clamp the work firmly before cutting. Let saws cool before handling as the teeth and the cut edge can get hot, and wipe off chips and residue after use. Keep the kit in its case in a dry place, out of reach of children.
