Description
The Diablo Starlock General Purpose Multi-Tool Blade Set gives you five application-specific oscillating blades in one pack, covering nail-embedded wood, clean wood, metal, plastics and drywall. It mixes carbide and bi-metal blades, so one set handles most renovation, demolition and trade cutting jobs.
About the product
Each blade is matched to a particular material. The bi-metal blades have an ultra-hardened cutting edge, which Diablo says lasts up to 5 times longer than standard blades. The carbide blades use carbide teeth, which Diablo says last up to 50 times longer than standard bi-metal blades. The blades have a curved contact edge that acts as a pilot for cleaner plunge cuts with less vibration. Black I.C.E. (Industrial Cooling Element) coated teeth help keep the cutting edge cool and clear of build-up. The Starlock interface allows tool-free blade changes.
Where to use it
Indoors: trimming door jambs and architraves, cutting plasterboard openings, flush-cutting skirting and notching timber.
Outdoors: cutting through nail-embedded decking, framing or fence timber, trimming pipes and metal fixings, and general demolition work.
Suitable for nail-embedded wood, clean wood, metal, plastics, PVC and drywall, depending on which blade you choose from the set.

How to use it
Pick the blade that suits the material, fit it to your multi-tool using the tool-free Starlock quick-change mount, and make sure it is locked in place before switching on. Let the blade do the work with steady, moderate pressure and keep the tool moving through the cut. Swap blades as you change between materials to get the best cutting life.
Compatibility
Made for corded and cordless Fein and other Starlock multi-tools. The set also fits most non-Starlock multi-tools from AEG, Bosch, Festool, Makita, Metabo, Milwaukee, Ridgid and Rockwell. It is not compatible with Craftsman, Dewalt, Dremel, Hart or Porter-Cable tools.
Important notes
Check that your multi-tool is on the compatible list before buying. Blade life depends on the material, the pressure applied and the tool speed, so the longevity figures quoted by the manufacturer are maximums rather than guarantees. Use each blade only on the materials it is designed for.

Care and storage
Always unplug the tool or remove the battery before changing blades, and wear safety glasses, gloves and hearing protection when cutting. Blades and freshly cut material can be hot and sharp, so let them cool before handling. Wipe off dust and debris after use and store the blades dry and in their pack. Keep out of reach of children.
