Dingo Structural Mortar Repair 10kg (Single Bag)

Description

Dingo Structural Mortar Repair is a polymer-modified, fibre-reinforced repair mortar for restoring damaged concrete and masonry, supplied here as a single 10kg bag of dry powder. It is a ready-to-mix, one-component product that you simply combine with clean water, and it is built for structural-grade repairs on both horizontal and vertical surfaces, above or below ground.

About the formula
This is a lightweight, low-shrinkage, cement-based mortar that is modified with polymers and reinforced with fibres to help limit micro cracking. According to the manufacturer it meets the requirements of class R3 under EN 1504-3. The powder is based on sulphate resistant cement, selected lightweight aggregates and additives, and it gives repairs better resistance to oils, sewage and chemicals. It can be built up in layers of up to 75mm thick.

Where to use it
Indoors: patching cavities, voids and honeycombed areas in concrete or mortar, and repairing brickwork.
Outdoors: repairing spalled concrete caused by corroding reinforcement, and fast repairs to horizontal or vertical concrete and mortar surfaces above and below ground level. The manufacturer also lists building, bridge and infrastructure repair work and structural strengthening among its uses.

Suitable substrates include concrete, mortar, brick and block masonry that is clean, sound and free of oil, grease and loose material.

How to use it
Lay out your tools before you start. Pour the amount of powder you need into a clean bucket and add clean water gradually. A full 10kg bag needs roughly 1.6 to 1.7 litres of water. Mix mechanically for at least 3 minutes using a low-speed drill and paddle mixer until the mix is consistent. Use the mixed material as soon as possible after opening the bag. Apply it to the prepared surface by hand or by mechanical methods.

Important notes
Mix only what you can use promptly, and only with clean water. One 10kg bag yields roughly 6.5 litres of mortar. How much you need depends on how rough the surface is and how thick the layer is. Keep unopened bags in a cool, dry, sheltered place out of harsh weather. For large, load-bearing or engineered structural repairs, check the manufacturer's Product Data Sheet and get advice from the manufacturer or a qualified engineer.
