Description
Duck Max Strength Nano-Grab is a clear, double-sided gel tape for mounting, quick repairs and craft jobs around the home, office and workshop, supplied here as a single 24mm x 1.5m roll. It gives a discreet, see-through hold on a wide range of hard surfaces, and because it can be washed and reused, one roll goes a long way.
About the formula
This is a soft, thick gel tape rather than a foam or cloth tape. Tiny micro sphere adhesive particles are spread evenly through the gel to give a long-lasting grip. Duck rates the roll to hold up to 20 lb (about 9 kg) per 5 ft length. The crystal-clear finish keeps repairs and mounted items looking tidy. When you remove it, it is designed to come away without leaving a sticky residue. You can then rinse it in warm, soapy water and use it again.
Where to use it
Indoors: hanging lightweight decor, fixing small items to walls, benchtops and shelves, quick household repairs, and craft or office projects.
Outdoors: suitable for outdoor use according to the supplier, so it can handle jobs like mounting small items on exterior surfaces. Test on your own surface first.
Suitable surfaces include painted drywall, wood, glass, tile, metal, stone and brick. Always test an inconspicuous spot first, especially on painted surfaces.
How to use it
- Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of dust, oil and grease.
- Cut the tape to the length you need with scissors.
- Peel back the liner, press the tape firmly onto the surface, then press the item into place.
- To remove it, peel the tape away from the surface. Wash it in warm, soapy water and let it dry before reusing it.
Important notes
Some applications may not come off cleanly from painted surfaces, so test before committing to a job. The 20 lb rating applies to a full 5 ft roll, so a shorter piece will hold proportionally less. Use extra care with heavy, fragile or valuable items, and do not use it where a failure could cause injury. The tape is intended for temporary or permanent mounting, depending on the job and surface. No cure time or temperature limits have been confirmed by the manufacturer for this size.
