Description
Dunlop Ardit Feather Finish in the larger 8kg bag is the go-to smoothing compound for flooring installers tackling bigger areas. This cement-based skimcoat, built on ARDEX Ardit technology, glides out to a genuine feather edge and produces a hard, super-smooth, permanent finish that floor coverings can be laid over from just 15 minutes after application - with no primer required on most substrates.
Where to use it
For indoor floors over concrete, existing ceramic tiles, sheet timber (plywood and particleboard) and cured Dunlop floor levellers. Use it to fill grout joints before laying vinyl over tiles, erase trowel marks and minor undulations, and fine-tune levelled floors before vinyl, carpet or new tiles.
How to use
Start with a clean, sound, dust-free floor. Mix with clean water to a smooth, lump-free paste and spread with a flat steel trowel from a feather edge up to 3mm thick. Because it sets rapidly, mix quantities you can place within a few minutes and apply successive tight coats as needed. Light sanding or shaving once set removes any ridges for a flawless result.
Important notes
Indoor use only and must be covered by a finished floor covering. The rapid set is a feature - plan batches accordingly. Refer to the technical datasheet for guidance over less common substrates.

Safety
Wear gloves, safety glasses and a P2 dust mask when handling and mixing the dry powder, ventilate the work area and avoid skin and eye contact with the wet mix. Wash thoroughly after use and keep the bag sealed and away from children.
