Description
Dunlop Express Wet Area Waterproofing is a high performance, water-based acrylic polyurethane membrane built for speed. Its high-build consistency lets you brush on a thick, even film that reaches the required membrane thickness with ease, and when used with Dunlop Express Wet Area Tape you can start tiling just four hours later. This handy 1kg tub is ideal for small repairs, patching and touch-up work, and it is backed by a 10 year guarantee.
Where to use it
Use indoors or outdoors in wet areas: showers, bathrooms, laundries and balconies. It adheres to AAC blocks, fibre-cement sheet, concrete, renders, screeds and wet area grade plasterboard on walls and floors.
How to use
Prime the clean, dry substrate, seal junctions and penetrations with Dunlop Express Wet Area Tape, then brush on the first coat of membrane. Once dry, apply a second coat at right angles to the first until the required thickness is achieved. Tiling can commence after 4 hours when the full Express system is used. Wash brushes in water immediately after use.
Important notes
Waterproofing has minimum application requirements under AS3740: after two coats the dry film must be 1mm thick on floors and 0.5mm on walls. Check local council specifications before you begin. The membrane is a Class III membrane to AS/NZS4858.
