Description
Dunlop Express Wet Area Waterproofing in the 20kg pail is the full-bathroom format of Dunlop's fast-track membrane. This high performance, water-based acrylic polyurethane formula offers superior workability and a high-build film that reaches the required thickness without endless coats. Combined with Dunlop Express Wet Area Tape, the system lets tiling commence in as little as four hours, and it carries a 10 year guarantee.
Where to use it
Made for indoor and outdoor wet areas: showers, bathrooms, laundries and balconies. Apply it over AAC blocks, fibre-cement sheet, concrete, renders, screeds and wet area grade plasterboard, on walls and floors.
How to use
Prime the substrate with the appropriate Dunlop primer, seal all floor/wall junctions, corners and penetrations with Dunlop Express Wet Area Tape, then brush the membrane on generously. When the first coat is dry, brush on a second coat at right angles to the first to build the required film thickness. Tiling can begin after 4 hours when the complete Express system is used. Tools clean up in water while wet.
Important notes
AS3740 requires a minimum dry film thickness after two coats of 1mm on floors and 0.5mm on walls; confirm requirements with your local council. Certified as a Class III membrane to AS/NZS4858 and conforming to AS3740-2010 Wet Area Membranes.
