Description
Dunlop General Purpose Construction Grout is an economical, high-strength cementitious grout that can be mixed to a dry pack, plastic or flowable state, giving one bag remarkable versatility across construction and repair tasks. The shrinkage-compensated formulation holds its volume as it cures, and strength development is impressive for a general purpose product — approximately 70MPa at 7 days and up to 85MPa at 28 days when mixed as a dry pack with 12% water.
Where to use it
Suited to indoor and outdoor projects wherever a dependable, high-strength grout is needed: packing under baseplates and machinery, filling voids, holes and pockets in concrete, bedding posts and bollards, grouting anchor bolts and starter bars, and general making-good around concrete and masonry. Application thickness ranges from 10mm up to 100mm.
How to use
Start with a clean, sound substrate free of dust, oil and loose particles, and dampen absorbent surfaces before grouting. Add clean water to achieve the consistency the job requires — dry pack for ramming into confined spaces, plastic for trowel placement, or flowable for pouring. Compact or rod the grout to remove entrapped air and finish with a steel trowel. A 20kg bag yields approximately 9.5L as dry pack, 10.3L at plastic consistency or 10.9L as a flowable mix. Varying the water ratio changes both workability and final strength.
Important notes
Higher water contents make placement easier but reduce ultimate strength — use the minimum water needed for workability. Maintain the 10-100mm thickness range and protect fresh grout from freezing and from rapid drying.

Safety
Contains portland cement — wet product is alkaline and can burn skin and eyes on prolonged contact. Wear gloves, safety glasses and a dust mask when mixing, and avoid breathing dust. Read the Safety Data Sheet before use.
