Dunlop Level-Flex Timber Floor Leveller 15.9kg Kit

Description

Dunlop Level-Flex Timber Floor Leveller is a high performance, partially self-smoothing latex levelling screed developed specifically for timber floors. Supplied as a complete two-part kit in a handy pail, it combines a cement-based powder with a flexible latex liquid to deliver the adhesion, flexibility and water resistance needed when levelling over floors that move more than concrete does.

Where to use it

Designed for indoor use over timber and concrete subfloors, it creates a smooth, flat surface ready for ceramic tiles, carpet or vinyl. It is a popular choice for renovating older homes with uneven timber floorboards or sheet flooring before new coverings are installed.

How to use

Sand and prime timber floors first, and prime porous concrete with a plush broom application. Blend the latex liquid with the powder using a low-speed paddle mixer until smooth, then pour and spread with a trowel, allowing the screed to flow out and self-smooth. The floor is walkable in about 3 hours; lay ceramic tiles after roughly 12 hours (3mm screed), carpet after 24 hours and vinyl after 48 hours.

Important notes

Indoor use only, and the leveller must be covered by a finished floor covering. Timber must be sound, rigid and well fixed before levelling. Low odour formula makes it comfortable to use in occupied homes.

Specifications

Size 15.9kg kit (powder plus latex liquid)
Coverage Approx. 7m² at 1mm or 2.3m² at 3mm per kit
Thickness Feather edge to approx. 12mm (thicker with aggregate)
Substrates Timber and concrete

Safety

Wear gloves, safety glasses and a P2 dust mask when handling the cement powder, and keep the room ventilated while mixing. Avoid skin and eye contact with the wet mix, wash after use and store the kit away from children.
