Description
Dunlop Multipurpose Primer in the 4 litre pack is the job-sized version of Dunlop's water-based bonding primer, made for whole-room and whole-house preparation work. It improves the bond between the substrate and Dunlop floor levellers, renders, tile adhesives and waterproofing membranes, turning dusty, porous surfaces into a reliable base. It suits new and old concrete, particleboard and compressed fibre-cement sheets alike.
Where to use it
Use indoors or outdoors, on walls and floors. It is at home on fibre-cement sheeting, concrete slabs, masonry and lightweight concrete blocks, particleboard, renders and screeds, before levelling, rendering, tiling or waterproofing with Dunlop systems.
How to use
Prepare the surface so it is clean, dry and free of dust, grease and loose material. Pour out the primer and spread an even coat with a brush or roller, working it into the surface. Let it dry clear before applying the next product in your system. Wash tools in water immediately after use.
Important notes
On very porous substrates a second coat is required to achieve a continuous primed film. The white-on, clear-dry formula shows exactly where you have coated. Actual coverage depends on substrate porosity and site conditions.
