Dunlop Primer & Additive 1L

Description

Dunlop Primer & Additive is a ready-to-use liquid primer that boosts the grip between your substrate and the Dunlop products that go on top of it. Whether you are about to level a floor, lay tiles or roll out a waterproofing membrane, a quick coat of this milky-white liquid seals porous surfaces and gives adhesives, levellers and membranes a far stronger key to bond to. It doubles as a grout additive, improving flexibility, adhesion, colour depth and resistance to abrasion and staining.

Where to use it

Suitable for both indoor and outdoor projects, on walls and floors. Use it over concrete, cement sheet, fibre-cement, plasterboard, sheeting and timber before applying Dunlop tile adhesives, floor preparation products or waterproofing membranes.

How to use

Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of dust or contaminants. Apply undiluted before waterproofing, tiling and timber floor preparation; dilute it for priming wall board. On large floor areas a household broom works well to spread the primer and push it into the surface. Allow it to dry clear before continuing with your adhesive, leveller or membrane. Tools rinse out in water while the product is still wet.

Important notes

Coverage varies with the porosity of the substrate. The primer goes on white and dries clear, so you can easily see where you have already coated. Highly porous surfaces may need extra material.

Specifications

Size 1 litre bottle
Coverage Approx. 4m² per litre undiluted; approx. 8m² per litre diluted
Substrates Concrete, cement sheet, fibre-cement, plasterboard, timber
Colour Applies white, dries clear

Safety

Work in a ventilated area, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and keep out of reach of children. Refer to the manufacturer's Safety Data Sheet before use.
