Dunlop Pro Rapid Waterproofing 20kg

Description

Dunlop Pro Rapid Waterproofing in the 20kg pail is the trade-scale version of Dunlop's fastest waterproofing membrane. A water-based polyurethane-acrylic hybrid, it forms a Class III membrane for residential and commercial wet areas and, when used with Dunlop Pro Rapid Tape, allows tiling to commence in just four hours. It also provides crack isolation protection over plastic shrinkage, hairline and other non-structural cracks, giving tiled finishes extra insurance against substrate movement.

Where to use it

An internal membrane for bathrooms, showers, kitchens and laundries across whole houses, units and commercial fit-outs. Suitable substrates include internal fibre-cement wall sheet, compressed fibre-cement sheet, wet area grade plasterboard, concrete cured for a minimum of 28 days, renders and screeds cured for a minimum of 7 days, PAA-branded internal structural plywood (marine or wet area grade, with shower areas sheeted using ceramic tile underlay) and internal AAC blocks and panels.

How to use

Prime the substrate, install Dunlop Pro Rapid Tape at all junctions, corners and penetrations, then apply the membrane in two coats, letting the first dry before the second goes on. Two coats are recommended for optimum performance. Once the system is complete, tiling can begin after 4 hours. Clean tools with water while the product is wet.

Important notes

A final dry film thickness of 0.5mm is required on walls and floors. Certified to AS4858 and AS4654. Coverage varies with the porosity of the substrate.

Specifications

Apply in a well-ventilated space wearing gloves and safety glasses. Avoid contact with skin and eyes, keep the pail sealed when not in use, and store out of reach of children. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet before starting.
