Dunlop Pro Rapid Waterproofing 4kg

Description

Dunlop Pro Rapid Waterproofing is a water-based polyurethane-acrylic hybrid membrane made for programmes that cannot wait. As part of the Pro Rapid system with Dunlop Pro Rapid Tape, it allows tiling to begin just four hours after application, compressing what is normally a multi-day waterproofing stage into a single shift. It is a Class III membrane suited to both residential and commercial work, and it provides crack isolation protection over plastic shrinkage, hairline and other non-structural cracks. This compact pail suits ensuites, powder rooms and smaller wet areas.

Where to use it

An internal membrane for bathrooms, showers, kitchens and laundries. Apply it to internal fibre-cement wall sheet, compressed fibre-cement sheet, wet area grade plasterboard, concrete cured for at least 28 days, renders and screeds cured for at least 7 days, PAA-branded internal structural plywood (marine or wet area grade, with shower areas sheeted in ceramic tile underlay) and internal AAC blocks and panels.

How to use

Prime the prepared substrate, seal junctions and penetrations with Dunlop Pro Rapid Tape, then apply the membrane in two coats, allowing the first to dry before recoating. Two coats are recommended for optimum performance. Tiling can commence 4 hours after the system is complete. Tools wash out in water.

Important notes

A final dry film thickness of 0.5mm is required on walls and floors. The product is certified to AS4858 and AS4654. Coverage varies with substrate porosity.
