Description
Dunlop Tiler's Rubber Modified is a flexible, rubber modified tile adhesive for walls and floors from Dunlop Trade (ARDEX Australia). The rubber modified formulation gives the cured bond extra flexibility to absorb normal substrate movement, while its generous coverage and 6-hour grout time keep jobs moving. Classified C2S1, it is a dependable workhorse for tilers who need strength, flexibility and speed in one bag.
Where to use it
Suitable for indoor and outdoor walls and floors. It fixes ceramic tiles, fully vitrified tiles, mosaics, porcelain and natural stone (excluding moisture sensitive stone) over compressed fibre-cement sheet floors, concrete floors, ceramic tile underlay, fibre-cement sheet walls, Dunlop Undertile Waterproofing, plasterboard and render. It can even be used over Dunlop Waterproofing and green concrete, making it handy on fast-track projects.
How to use
Mix with clean water to a smooth, creamy consistency and allow to slake before remixing. Apply to a clean, sound, dust-free substrate using a 6 x 6 x 6mm notched trowel on walls or a 10 x 10 x 10mm notched trowel on floors. Press tiles in firmly with a twisting action and check adhesive transfer on the tile back. Grouting can begin in as little as 6 hours.
Important notes
Not suitable for moisture sensitive natural stone. Do not add extra water once the mix begins to stiffen, and avoid application in extreme temperatures.
