Description
The Empire 225mm Magnetic Torpedo Level is a compact, pocket-friendly level for quick plumb, level and 45 degree checks, built around a solid aluminium frame and a magnetic edge. It suits tradies and DIYers who need a small, tough level that can be carried in a tool belt or pouch and used in tight spots where a full-length level will not fit.
About the product
Three acrylic vials let you read plumb, level and 45 degrees without changing tools. A top-read window lets you check the bubble when you are looking down over the level, which helps on overhead or awkward work. The magnetic edge holds the level to steel surfaces such as pipes, studs and metal framing so you can keep both hands free.
Where to use it
Indoors: checking shelves, cabinets, appliances, pipework, conduit and framing for level and plumb.
Outdoors: setting posts, brackets, fixings and metal fittings where a compact level is easier to handle than a long one.
How to use it
- Wipe the edges of the level so dust and filings do not affect the reading.
- Rest the level flat against the surface you are checking, or let the magnetic edge hold it to a steel surface.
- Read the vial that matches the job: level, plumb or 45 degrees.
- Look through the top-read window when you are working over the level.
Important notes
The magnetic edge only grips steel and iron surfaces, so it will not stay on timber, masonry, aluminium or plastic. For long runs or large frames, a longer level will give a more reliable reading. Check the level against a known true surface from time to time and avoid dropping it, as impacts can affect the vials and frame. A case and chalk are not included.

Care and storage
Wipe the level clean after use and keep it dry and free of grit. Store it in a tool pouch, drawer or on a hook rather than loose among heavy tools, and keep the magnetic edge away from fine metal filings. Keep out of reach of young children.
