Description
The Envirosafe Fly Trap is a reusable, ready-to-bait outdoor fly trap designed for Australian conditions, supplied here as a single 750ml trap with Eco-Bait included. It draws a wide range of common flies into the trap using a food grade bait and a design that makes escape difficult, so you can cut down fly numbers around outdoor living areas without sprays or pesticides.
About the formula
The bait that comes with the trap is Envirosafe's own Eco-Bait. It is made from food grade ingredients and is pesticide free, so the trap works by attraction alone. The yellow trap body is made from recyclable PET plastic and is built to be emptied, washed and re-baited, so one trap can be used again and again with Eco-Bait refills.
Where to use it
Indoors: not recommended. The trap is made for outdoor use and may draw more flies towards the area where it is placed.
Outdoors: around the home, barbecue and entertaining areas, and in rural settings such as stables, poultry areas, pet kennels, dairies, cattle yards and packing sheds. The manufacturer states an effective area of over 300 square metres.
How to use it
Remove the label and empty the Eco-Bait into the trap. Fill the trap to about a third of its volume with lukewarm water (not hot), put the lid on and swirl to mix. Set the trap outdoors in direct sunlight, away from eating areas and house entry points. Keep the water level up so the trap does not dry out. For best results, change the bait every 2 to 3 weeks. When the trap is full, dispose of the contents by burying them about a spade depth into the ground or a compost heap, or by bagging them and putting them in the kerbside bin. Wash the trap thoroughly, then re-bait.
Important notes
For outdoor use only. Flies can carry bacteria, so always wash your hands after handling or emptying the trap, and set it out of reach of children and pets. Bait performance depends on warmth and sunlight, so you may need to change it more often in hot weather.

Safety
