Description
The Eufy E340 Dual Camera Video Doorbell is a 2K smart doorbell that watches both your visitors and the ground at your front door, so parcels left on the step stay in view. This Solo model works on its own through the eufy app and can run on its rechargeable battery or be wired to suitable existing doorbell wiring.
About the product
Two cameras work together. The front-facing main camera records at 2048 x 1536 and is aimed at people at the door. A second, downward-facing camera records at 1600 x 1200 and covers the area on the floor in front of the door. A dual-light system helps produce colour night vision with a clear viewing distance of up to 5m. The doorbell also offers two-way talk, human, face and package detection, and 8GB of built-in storage, with no monthly subscription needed. It works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Where to use it
Indoors: pairs with a compatible indoor chime or your phone, so you can answer the door from anywhere in the house.
Outdoors: mounts beside the front door to cover the entry, doorstep and parcel drop-off area.
How to use it
- Battery mode: fit the quick-release battery pack and mount the doorbell without any wiring. Keep a spare battery pack on hand so you can swap and avoid downtime while one charges.
- Wired mode: connect to existing doorbell wiring (16 to 24V) so the unit draws mains-derived power and you don't have to recharge it. The battery pack still needs to be fitted in this mode.
- Set up and manage alerts, live view, recorded events and two-way talk through the eufy Security app over Wi-Fi.
- Recorded events are stored locally on the doorbell, so there is no monthly fee for basic use.
Important notes
This is the Solo version, which works without a HomeBase. A HomeBase is a separate purchase if you want to use it as a chime hub. Wi-Fi coverage at the doorbell location affects performance, so check your signal before mounting. Wired mode needs suitable existing doorbell wiring and a compatible power source. Check the contents list on the box for exactly what is included.

Care and storage
Wipe the lenses gently with a soft, clean cloth to keep the picture clear. Recharge the battery pack with the supplied or recommended charging accessory only, and keep spare packs in a cool, dry place. Keep batteries away from heat and out of reach of children.
