The Eufy Video Doorbell 2K Wireless Add-On is a battery-powered smart doorbell that lets you see and talk to visitors from your phone, designed to extend an existing eufy HomeBase system. It records in 2K clarity, sends alerts when someone approaches, and has no monthly fees for its core features. Please note this is the doorbell only. It cannot work on its own and needs a compatible eufy HomeBase, which is not included.
About the product
The doorbell uses a Sony 2K sensor with a professional-grade lens and a 4:3 aspect ratio, giving a taller view that helps capture visitors from head to toe. HDR imaging helps with backlit or low-light scenes, and it also has night vision. On-device smart human detection and customisable activity zones let you focus alerts on the areas that matter, so you get fewer unwanted notifications. Footage is stored on your HomeBase inside the home, and an AES-256 encryption chip protects data in transmission and storage. You can use quick pre-recorded replies or speak to visitors using two-way audio through the eufy Security app.
Where to use it
Outdoors: mounted beside a front or side door, where its IP65 weatherproof rating suits exposed positions.
Indoors: the paired HomeBase sits inside your home, where it stores recordings and acts as the chime.
How to use it
Connect the doorbell to your eufy HomeBase through the eufy Security app, then mount it using the supplied bracket. You can power it two ways:
- Battery: charge the built-in battery and mount it anywhere, with no wiring needed. eufy rates a charge at up to six months of use, depending on how many events are recorded.
- Wired: connect it to existing doorbell wiring for continuous power.
The kit includes the doorbell, a mounting bracket, a screw hole positioning card, an optional 15 degree mounting wedge, screw packs, wiring accessories for hardwired installs and a quick start guide. It works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Important notes
This add-on requires a compatible eufy HomeBase (such as HomeBase 2) to operate, and the HomeBase is sold separately. The doorbell does not support Apple HomeKit. Battery life varies with usage, the number of events captured and environmental conditions. Check the eufy compatibility guide if you are unsure whether your current HomeBase model is supported.

Care and storage
Recharge the battery before it runs flat and keep the doorbell within its rated operating temperature range. Wipe the lens and housing gently with a soft, damp cloth to keep the image clear. Keep the small parts and screws out of reach of children.
