Description
FrogTape Multi-Surface Painter's Tape is a premium, medium-adhesion masking tape for painters who want sharp, clean paint lines on a wide range of surfaces, supplied here as a single 36mm x 55m roll. Its edges are treated with PaintBlock Technology to help stop paint creeping underneath, so you spend less time on touch-ups.
About the formula
The tape has a fine structured crepe paper backing and a synthetic rubber-based adhesive. The adhesive is solvent-free and grips quickly, so you can start painting straight after application. PaintBlock Technology uses a super-absorbent polymer that reacts with the water in latex paint and gels, forming a micro-barrier along the tape edge that seals it against paint bleed. It is designed for use with latex (water-based) paint.
Where to use it
Indoors: cutting in along cured painted walls, skirting boards and trim, glass, metal fittings and carpet edges.
Outdoors: masking cured painted surfaces, wood trim, glass and metal. The tape withstands direct outdoor sunlight for up to 7 days.
Recommended surfaces include cured painted walls, trim, glass, metal, stone, carpet and unfinished wood. Test a small, inconspicuous area first, particularly on delicate surfaces or when using solvent-based coatings.
How to use it
Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of dust, grease and oil. Apply the tape along the line you want to protect and press the edge down firmly with your finger or a putty knife. Paint straight away, then pull the tape off at a shallow angle soon after painting, ideally before the paint has fully dried, for the cleanest line.
Important notes
The tape removes cleanly from most surfaces for up to 21 days. Leaving it on longer, or exposing it to prolonged direct sun, may make removal harder. Allow new paint to cure fully before taping over it, and test first on delicate finishes. Results are best with latex paint. Store the roll in its original packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Safety
