Description
The Gainsborough Liberty Smart Entrance Lock is a keyless door lock for homes, finished in Matte Black and built around a fingerprint sensor and a backlit keypad. It gives you several ways to open the door, including a physical key, so you are not relying on one method alone.
About the product
This is a residential smart lock designed for entry doors. You can unlock it with a registered fingerprint, a PIN on the backlit keypad, an RFID entry tag or the supplied key. It runs on 4 x AA batteries, and a USB power inlet gives you a backup way to power it if the batteries go flat. The Grid Connect app for iPhone and Android lets you manage and monitor the lock from your phone. Adding the optional SG121HA hub (sold separately) enables access from anywhere and voice lock/unlock.
Where to use it
Indoors: internal doors where you want keyless entry and a modern black finish.
Outdoors: sheltered external doors only. The manufacturer advises keeping it out of direct weather, and the lock is not waterproof.
How to use it
- Fits doors 32mm to 50mm thick with a 60mm or 70mm backset.
- Install it on a new or existing door, then follow the quick start guide to set up your fingerprints, codes and tags.
- Pair it with the Grid Connect app to control and monitor the lock from your phone.
- Keep the physical key somewhere safe as a traditional back-up.
Important notes
This lock is intended for residential use and is not rated for commercial use. Remote access and voice control need the optional SG121HA hub, which is sold separately. Keep it out of direct weather and do not use it where it will be exposed to rain. Check the batteries from time to time so the lock does not run flat unexpectedly.

Care and storage
Wipe the lock with a soft, damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could mark the finish. Keep the fingerprint sensor and keypad clean and dry. Replace all four batteries together, and keep the spare key in a safe place away from the door. Store any unused product in its box in a cool, dry spot.
