The Gainsborough Mode Smart Lever Lock in Graphite is a slim, modern keyless lever that adds lockable, smart-ready security to internal doors such as home offices, garage access doors and private rooms. It combines a fingerprint sensor, backlit keypad, RFID entry tags and a key override in one compact lever set.
About the product
The Mode Smart Lever Lock has a zinc alloy body in a graphite finish and a slimline profile that suits contemporary interiors. You can unlock it by fingerprint, by keypad code, with an RFID tag or with the override key. It stores up to 150 unique access codes, so family, guests or staff can each have their own. Pair it with the Gainsborough Forte App to manage access and view a history log of who has come and gone. Passage mode and auto-lock mode let you choose between easy entry and extra security, and the lock sends low battery notifications so you have time to replace the batteries.
Where to use it
Indoors: home offices, garage access doors, studies and personal rooms, including bedrooms in rental properties.
Outdoors: not recommended. The external lock body is not designed for full weather exposure, and use in unprotected outdoor conditions may void the warranty.
How to use it
- Fit to a door 32 to 55mm thick with a 54mm bore hole. The backset is adjustable between 60 and 70mm.
- Unlock by fingerprint, backlit keypad, RFID tag or key override.
- Create and manage up to 150 access codes.
- Switch between passage mode and auto-lock mode to suit your routine.
- Pair with the Gainsborough Forte App for app control and a history log.
- Add the Gainsborough Forte Wi-Fi Bridge (sold separately) to connect the lock with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa for voice-activated lock and unlock.
Important notes
The Forte Wi-Fi Bridge is required for voice control and is sold separately. Voice features depend on your smart home hub and app setup. The lock is intended for internal use and is not suitable for full weather exposure. Latch and strike are included in the pack. The manufacturer's warranty is 2 years electronic and 2 years mechanical, and conditions apply.

Care and storage
Keep the lock away from direct weather, moisture and harsh chemicals, and wipe it clean with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Replace the batteries when you receive a low battery notification, and keep the override key somewhere safe but accessible. Store the lock and any RFID tags in a dry place and keep small parts out of reach of children.
