Goof Off Professional Strength Remover is a fast-acting solvent remover for sticky, gummy and stubborn mess, supplied here in a handy 177ml can for the garage, workshop or toolbox. It is built to break down stuck-on adhesive residue and marks that ordinary household cleaners struggle to shift, so you can rescue tools, hard surfaces and finished work instead of replacing them.
About the formula
A ready-to-use, thin, clear liquid based on a strong solvent blend that includes acetone and xylene. It is poured or wiped on with a cloth rather than sprayed, which gives you control when you are working on small marks or tight spots. Expect a strong solvent smell, so good ventilation matters.
Where to use it
Indoors: tackling sticker and label residue, tape and glue marks, crayon, pen and marker, chewing gum, candle wax, lipstick and scuff marks on sturdy hard surfaces around the home.
Outdoors and in the garage: cleaning up adhesive, tar, asphalt and similar grime from hand tools, and removing dried latex paint drips and caulk smears from suitable hard surfaces.
Suitable materials include metal, glass, brick, wood, concrete, grout, fibreglass, hand tools and most automotive surfaces, as well as fully cured varnished or oil-painted surfaces. It is also promoted for marks on carpet and clothing, but test those first.
How to use it
Wear eye protection and gloves and work in a well-ventilated area, away from any ignition source. Test on a hidden spot first, because every surface reacts differently. Apply a small amount to a clean cloth, then blot or lightly rub the mess until it lifts. Thick or layered residue may need a second pass. Wipe the area clean, let the vapours disperse, and reseal the can straight away.
Important notes
Do not use on plastics, worn vinyl flooring, some automotive paints or some carpets, as solvents can soften, dull or discolour them. Avoid large areas and spot test dyed fabrics and carpet before treating a visible mark. Keep out of reach of children. Always follow the directions on the can.

Safety
Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames and hot surfaces, and do not smoke. Use only with plenty of fresh air, wear safety glasses and chemical-resistant gloves, and stop work and move to fresh air if you feel dizzy or get a headache. If it contacts skin, remove contaminated clothing and rinse the skin with water. In case of fire use carbon dioxide, dry chemical, foam or water fog.
