Description
Gorilla Tape Silver 48mm x 9.1m is a heavy-duty cloth tape made for the repairs that ordinary duct tape can't hold. A thick layer of rubber-based adhesive, a tightly woven reinforced backing and a weather-resistant outer shell work together to give a strong, long-lasting grip on smooth, rough and uneven surfaces. The 9.1m roll is a handy size for the toolbox, car, caravan or kitchen drawer, in the classic silver finish for general repair work.
How it is built

Double-thick adhesive: around twice the adhesive of standard duct tape, so it works into the texture of rough surfaces for extra grip.

Reinforced woven backing: adds strength and heft, yet the tape still tears cleanly by hand.

All-weather shell: stands up to moisture, UV and temperature changes, so it suits outdoor jobs as well as indoor ones.
Where to use it
Indoors: bundling and securing, patching torn bags and covers, quick fixes to furniture, storage tubs, hoses and workshop gear.
Outdoors: garden equipment, tarps and canvas, outdoor furniture, trailers, caravans and vehicles, and temporary weather patches on timber, brick, stone, stucco, metal and vinyl.
How to use
- Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of dust, grease and oil. Isopropyl alcohol can be used to clean it first.
- Tear the tape to length by hand, or cut it with a knife or scissors.
- Apply at room temperature and rub the tape firmly into the surface, smoothing out any air pockets or wrinkles.
- On grained or ribbed surfaces, run the tape across the grain or in a cross pattern for a better hold.
Important notes
- Not an electrical tape. Do not use it to insulate wiring.
- Does not bond well to materials high in oils or plasticisers, such as EPDM rubber or flexible PVC. A clear acrylic tape is a better choice for those.
- Not suitable for direct or indirect food contact.
- It can be removed, but removal may take effort and can leave adhesive residue.
- Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, ideally standing on its edge or hung on a hook, to keep the roll edges clean.
