The Grunt Manual Retractable Tie Down Ratchet is a tidy, ready-to-use load restraint for utes, trailers and general hauling, supplied here as a handy two-pack of 25mm x 3.5m straps. The webbing is already fitted to the ratchet, so there is no threading to deal with, and a built-in winder keeps the spare strap rolled up neatly instead of flapping about.
About the product
Each strap pairs polyester webbing with a ratchet mechanism and an integrated manual winder. You roll in the slack by hand, then use the ratchet to pull the load down firmly. Coated S hooks help protect the surfaces they touch and give a better grip, and a hook keeper adds extra security while the strap is stored or being carried. The webbing is UV-resistant, so it is well suited to jobs that live outdoors.
Where to use it
Indoors: tidy, secure storage of bulky items in the garage or shed, and bundling gear for a move.
Outdoors: holding loads on utes, trailers, box trailers and roof-top gear, and securing equipment during transport.
How to use it
- Hook one end to a solid anchor point and pull out the length of webbing you need.
- Hook the other end to a second anchor point across the load.
- Roll in the slack using the webbing winder.
- Work the ratchet handle to tension the strap until the load is held firmly.
- Use the hook keepers to stow the hooks when the strap is not in use.
- Release the ratchet, unhook and wind the webbing back up for storage.
Important notes
Lashing capacity is 340kg, so choose your anchor points and the number of straps to suit the weight of the load and never exceed the rating. Check the webbing, hooks and ratchet before each use, and replace the strap if you see cuts, fraying, kinks or damaged hardware. Avoid running the webbing over sharp edges without protection.

Care and storage
Wind the webbing back onto the winder after use and keep the straps dry and out of prolonged direct sunlight when not in use. Wipe off dirt or grit with a damp cloth and let the strap dry before storing. Keep away from sharp edges, chemicals and heat sources, and keep out of reach of children.
