Description
The Kincrome MTW150F is a 1/2" drive micrometre-style click torque wrench for tightening fasteners to a set value, suited to automotive servicing, mechanical repairs and general workshop jobs. It covers a wide range in both metric and imperial, so one tool handles everything from suspension and brake hardware to wheel nuts.
About the product
The wrench is made from nickel chrome plated alloy and has a 1/2" square drive with a reversible ratchet head. Torque values in Nm and ft/lb are engraved on the barrel, and a micrometre-type sleeve lets you dial in the setting precisely, down to a fine scale of 1 Nm. When the preset torque is reached, the wrench gives an audible click and a noticeable release of tension. There is no pointer or dial to watch, so you can use it in the dark, in tight blind spots, in oily conditions, in noisy workshops and on vibrating machinery.
Where to use it
Indoors: workshop and garage tasks such as engine and gearbox work, general mechanical assembly and servicing.
Outdoors: roadside and driveway wheel and vehicle maintenance, plus machinery and equipment upkeep.
How to use it
- Unlock the handle, turn the micrometre sleeve to your required torque value and lock the setting again.
- Fit a suitable 1/2" drive socket (a 3/8" drive adaptor is included in the pack).
- Pull smoothly and steadily on the handle until you hear and feel the click, then stop.
- Supplied with a calibration certificate and a blow-moulded storage case.
Important notes
This wrench measures torque in one direction only and is intended for standard right-hand thread applications. Stated accuracy is +/- 4% of the setting. It is a tightening tool and should not be used to loosen fasteners. Always follow the vehicle or equipment maker's torque specifications.

Care and storage
Wipe the wrench clean after use and keep it in its case in a dry spot. Avoid dropping it or using it as a breaker bar, as impacts can affect calibration. Check the instructions supplied for any advice on winding back the setting before storage.
