Description
The Kincrome K4900 Twin Handle Nut Riveter Kit is a complete hand-operated system for fitting strong threaded inserts into thin metal, with a riveter, six mandrels and 60 rivet nuts all packed in one case. Rivet nuts give you a solid, captive nut in sheet material that is too thin to tap or thread, so it suits workshops, farm sheds, 4WD builds and general fabrication.
About the product
The riveter is built from heavy duty aluminium and steel and has two moulded grips for two-handed operation. Six mandrels cover M3, M4, M5, M6, M8 and M10, and a mandrel spanner lets you swap sizes quickly. The 60 zinc coated steel rivet nut inserts (10 of each size) mean you can start work straight away.

How to use it
Fit the mandrel that matches your rivet nut size to the riveter using the spanner. Drill a clean hole in the material to suit the rivet nut you are using, thread the rivet nut onto the mandrel and seat it in the hole. Squeeze the handles to set the rivet nut, then unwind the mandrel to release the tool, leaving a secure internal thread ready for a bolt or screw.
Important notes
Match the mandrel, rivet nut and hole size before you set each insert. Replacement rivet nut inserts are sold separately in aluminium and zinc coated steel for the common sizes, so you can top up the kit as you go.

Care and storage
Wipe the riveter and mandrels clean after use and keep all parts together in the supplied case. Store in a dry place to help protect the tool and inserts from moisture, and keep out of reach of children.
