Klein Tools MM325 600V 10A Manual Ranging Digital Multimeter

Description

The Klein Tools MM325 is a compact, manual-ranging digital multimeter built for electricians and capable DIYers who want a straightforward meter for everyday electrical testing. It covers AC and DC voltage up to 600V, DC current up to 10A and resistance up to 2 MOhm, and it also checks batteries, diodes and continuity. Klein Tools designs its test and measurement range with working electricians in mind.

About the product
The MM325 uses manual ranging, so you select the range yourself with the dial. It has a 2000-count LCD with a backlight for dim switchboards and roof spaces, plus auto power-off and data hold. Lead Alert protection uses LEDs to help you confirm the test leads are in the right sockets before you measure. A low battery indicator warns you when the cells need replacing, and the battery and fuse compartment is easy to reach. The meter is built to survive a 2 m (6.6 ft) drop and carries a CAT III 600V safety rating.

Where to use it
Indoors: checking mains and low-voltage circuits, testing power points and switchboards, tracing faults, and checking household and automotive batteries, fuses and wiring continuity.
Outdoors: this meter is intended for indoor use only and should not be exposed to moisture, rain or snow.

How to use it

  • Fit the supplied test leads and choose the function and range with the rotary dial.
  • Use the Lead Alert LEDs as a guide to correct lead placement before testing.
  • Use the continuity function for a quick audible check of wiring and fuses.
  • Use the diode and battery test functions for component and cell checks.
  • Switch the meter off when finished, or let the auto power-off look after it.

Important notes
This meter measures DC current only, not AC current. It is a manual-ranging model, so select a suitable range before connecting to a circuit. Only use it within its rated limits (600V, CAT III) and always follow the instruction manual. Replace the fuse only with the type specified by the manufacturer.
