Description
The Lockwood 120 Series 30mm padlock is a compact, solid brass padlock for everyday general-purpose security around the home, shed, garage or workshop. It pairs a heavy-duty brass case with a chrome plated hardened steel shackle, and it comes from a long-established Australian lock brand.
About the product
The case is a solid brass extrusion, and the shackle is chrome plated hardened steel. It uses a pin tumbler mechanism and locks the shackle in two places (double locking), so it resists pulling and twisting better than a basic spring-latch design. The shackle is self latching, so it snaps shut without the key. Lockwood tests the range to the Australian padlock standard for both security and corrosion resistance, and backs it with a 25 year mechanical warranty.
Where to use it
Indoors: lockers, storage cages, cabinets, toolboxes and workshop gear.
Outdoors (sheltered positions): garden sheds, garages, gates, letterboxes and trailers where the padlock is not left fully exposed to the weather.
How to use it
- To open, insert the key and turn it. The spring-loaded shackle releases.
- The key can only be removed when the shackle is open.
- To lock, push the shackle down until it clicks. No key is needed.
- The 30mm body and 18mm shackle opening suit smaller hasps, staples and fittings. Check that your hasp fits through the opening before you buy.
Important notes
This padlock is aimed at general-purpose security, not high-risk or heavily exposed locations. It is not designed for use where full weather protection is needed, so mount it in a sheltered spot where possible. If a rough or maximum-security rating matters for your application, choose a higher-grade padlock. Supplied as a single padlock.

Care and storage
Keep spare keys in a safe place and never leave the key in the padlock. Wipe off dirt and moisture after wet weather. If the mechanism feels stiff, a small amount of dry graphite lock lubricant helps. Avoid oily lubricants, which attract dust. Store in a dry place when not in use.
