Description
The Lockwood 120 Series 40mm padlock is a solid brass, general-purpose padlock for everyday security around the home, supplied here as a twin pack so you can secure two spots in one purchase. It pairs a heavy-duty brass case with a chrome plated hardened steel shackle, and it comes from an Australian brand with more than 90 years of locksmithing experience.
About the product
The case is a heavy-duty solid brass extrusion, and the shackle is hardened alloy steel with a chrome plated finish. A pin tumbler mechanism and a double locking shackle add to the security. The shackle is self-latching, so you simply push it closed to lock. These padlocks are tested to the Australian padlock standard for both security and corrosion resistance.
Where to use it
Indoors and in sheltered spots: lockers, cabinets, toolboxes, storage cages, internal doors and gates, and other general-purpose jobs.
Outdoors: best kept for covered or protected positions, as this model is intended for general-purpose security where weather protection is not required.
How to use it
- Insert the key and turn it to release the spring-loaded shackle.
- Pass the open shackle through the hasp, staple or chain, then push it back into the body until it latches.
- To open, turn the key again. The key can be removed once the shackle is open.
- Check that the hasp or staple you are locking to is as strong as the padlock itself, as a lock is only as secure as the fitting it is attached to.
Important notes
This padlock is not rekeyable. It is designed for general-purpose use and is not intended for exposed, weather-heavy positions. Keep spare keys somewhere safe and separate from the lock. Occasional lubrication with a dry lock lubricant will help the mechanism stay smooth.

Care and storage
Wipe the padlock clean and dry if it gets dusty or damp, and keep it out of constant rain and salt exposure to protect the finish. Apply a small amount of dry lock lubricant to the keyway and shackle now and then. Store spare keys safely and out of reach of children.
