About the product
The case is a heavy-duty solid brass extrusion, which gives the lock its weight and durability. The shackle is made from hardened alloy steel with a chrome-plated finish. The pin tumbler mechanism is double locking, so the shackle is held at both ends, and it is self latching, so you simply push the shackle closed to secure it. This model is tested to the Australian padlock standard (AS 4145.4) for security and corrosion resistance. It is designed for general-purpose use where extra weather protection is not needed.
Where to use it
Indoors and in sheltered spots: lockers, toolboxes, storage cages, cupboards, garage and shed doors, letterboxes, gym and travel bags.
Outdoors: best kept for covered or protected locations, as this model is not designed as a weatherproof padlock.
How to use it
Insert the key and turn it to release the spring-loaded shackle, then lift the shackle to open the lock. The key can only be removed when the lock is in the open position. To lock, thread the shackle through your hasp, chain or fitting and push it firmly closed until it latches. Take the key out and keep spare keys somewhere safe.

Important notes

Care and storage
Keep the padlock out of prolonged rain and standing moisture, and wipe it dry if it gets wet. Use a light dry lubricant in the keyway now and then if the key starts to feel stiff. Keep spare keys in a safe place and out of reach of young children.
