Loxeal Istant 27 Super Glue High Viscosity Cyanoacrylate Adhesive 20g

Description

Loxeal Istant 27 Super Glue High Viscosity Cyanoacrylate Adhesive 20g

Loxeal Istant 27 is a high viscosity, gap-filling super glue based on ethyl cyanoacrylate, made for irregular surfaces on plastic, rubber, metal and ceramic. Its thick 1,200–1,800 mPa·s consistency bridges gaps up to 200 microns without running, and its deliberately slower fixture time lets you adjust and align parts during assembly before the bond locks in. Supplied in a 20g bottle.

Why choose Loxeal Istant 27?

  • High viscosity, gap-filling formula – fills gaps of 10–200 microns on uneven surfaces
  • Stays where applied – thick consistency will not run out of the joint or drip
  • Repositioning window – slower fixture allows parts to be adjusted during assembly
  • Strong final bond – tensile strength of 18–25 N/mm² when cured
  • Solvent-free, single part – clear cure straight from the bottle

Typical applications

  • Bonding rough, porous or poorly matched surfaces
  • Plastic and rubber parts with irregular mating faces
  • Ceramic repairs where a runnier glue would soak away or drip
  • Assemblies that need a few extra seconds of alignment time

How to use

  1. Clean and degrease both surfaces and allow them to dry fully.
  2. Apply a bead of adhesive to one surface only.
  3. Assemble the parts, adjust alignment while the slower fixture time allows, then hold with light pressure.
  4. Leave the joint undisturbed while strength develops; avoid heavy loads until fully cured.

Cure times

Fixture speed depends on the substrate, gap, temperature and humidity. Typical fixture times: neoprene/NBR under 5 seconds; phenolic resin 10–40 seconds; aluminium 10–30 seconds; ABS 15–40 seconds; PVC 20–50 seconds; steel 20–50 seconds; zinc 40–100 seconds. Allow up to 24 hours for full strength. For polyethylene, polypropylene, silicone rubber or PTFE, prime first with Loxeal Primer 7; Loxeal Activator 9 can be used to speed up slow joints.
