Loxeal Istant 43 Speciale Super Glue Cyanoacrylate Adhesive 50g
Loxeal Istant 43 Speciale (43S) is a surface-insensitive, general purpose super glue based on modified ethyl cyanoacrylate. Unfazed by acidic and porous surfaces, it excels at bonding leather, wood, fabric, ceramic and metals where ordinary super glues struggle. It offers proven heat resistance to +120°C (short peaks to +150°C) and is NSF registered for use in and around food processing areas, making it a favourite for demanding trade and industrial work. Supplied in a 50g bottle.
Why choose Loxeal Istant 43 Speciale?
-
Surface insensitive – cures reliably on acidic and porous substrates like leather, wood and paper
-
Heat resistant – holds strength up to +120°C, with short-term peaks to +150°C
-
NSF registered – acceptable for use as an instant adhesive in and around food processing areas
-
Very fast on hard-to-glue materials – fabric in 2–20 seconds, leather in 5–15 seconds
-
Strong all-rounder – medium viscosity with tensile strength of 15–25 N/mm²
Typical applications
- Leather goods, footwear and upholstery repairs
- Woodworking, trim and joinery fixes across many timber species
- Equipment maintenance around commercial kitchens and food processing plants
- Fabric, ceramic, metal and rubber bonding in workshops and on site
How to use
- Clean and degrease all surfaces and allow them to dry before applying the adhesive.
- For low-energy plastics such as PE, PP or PTFE, apply Loxeal Primer 7 first and let it dry.
- Apply the adhesive sparingly to one surface, then bring the parts together quickly and correctly aligned – the fast cure leaves little room for repositioning.
- Press firmly for a few seconds until fixed, and keep parts clamped until fully set.
- Wait 24–72 hours for full cure before applying any mechanical stress.
Cure times
Fixture speed depends on the substrate, gap, temperature and humidity. Typical fixture times: paper 1–5 seconds; fabric 2–20 seconds; PVC, ABS and phenolic resin 2–10 seconds; aluminium 2–10 seconds; steel 5–20 seconds; leather 5–15 seconds; ceramic 5–30 seconds; softwoods 5–20 seconds; oak 90–180 seconds. Loxeal Activator 9 can be used to accelerate slow joints. Full cure in 24–72 hours.
