The Makita DMP180Z is a compact 18V LXT cordless inflator that brings quick, accurate tyre inflation to the garage, the boot or the campsite, supplied here as a skin only unit for anyone who already runs Makita 18V batteries. It pairs a backlit digital display with an auto-stop function, so you can set a target pressure and let the tool do the watching.
About the product
The DMP180Z reaches a maximum air discharge pressure of 0.83MPa (121psi), which covers car, ute and bike tyres as well as lower pressure jobs. The high visibility backlit digital screen makes the pressure easy to read, and inflation stops by itself once your chosen pressure is reached. A trigger type switch keeps operation simple and comfortable. Its compact body is easy to store and carry between jobs.

Indoors: topping up bike tyres, sports balls and inflatable items in the garage or shed.
Outdoors: car, ute and trailer tyre top-ups on the go, plus pool toys, floats and camping gear.

How to use it
- Fit a compatible Makita 18V LXT battery (not included with this skin only unit).
- Connect the hose to the valve of the item you are inflating, using a suitable adaptor where needed.
- Set your target pressure on the digital display. Check the tyre placard or the equipment maker's guide for the correct figure.
- Squeeze the trigger. The inflator stops automatically when the set pressure is reached.
Important notes
This is a skin only unit: the battery and charger are sold separately. Retailer data lists no accessories included, so check what comes in the box if you need specific valve adaptors. Makita rates the duty cycle at 5 minutes on and 5 minutes off, so allow the tool to rest between long inflation runs. Maximum pressure is 121psi, so do not use it on anything with a lower rated pressure without setting the target first.
