Makita 18V Mobile Brushless Impact Driver DTD153Z (Skin Only)

Description

The Makita DTD153Z is a compact 18V brushless impact driver for tradies and keen DIYers who want fast fastening in a small, light body, supplied here as a skin (tool only) to suit your existing 18V LXT batteries. It combines a brushless motor with a high-speed impact action, so it drives screws and bolts quickly while staying easy to handle on long jobs or in tight spots.

About the product
The DTD153Z uses a brushless motor with a variable speed trigger, so you can ease into a fastener and then ramp up for speed. It delivers up to 170Nm of fastening torque. The hammer case is rigid aluminium, and XPT technology helps protect the tool against dust and moisture on dirty or damp worksites. The handle has a soft grip that gives good control and helps reduce hand fatigue. A built-in LED job light shows up the work area in dim spaces, and a belt clip keeps the tool within easy reach when your hands are busy.

Where to use it
Indoors: fixing cabinetry and fittings, driving screws into framing, fitting hardware, and general renovation and maintenance tasks.
Outdoors: decking and fencing screws, fixing brackets and fittings, and general site work where a compact tool makes access easier.

How to use it

  • One touch bit installation: push a 1/4 inch hex bit straight into the chuck, with no need to pull back a sleeve.
  • Squeeze the variable speed trigger to control driving speed, and use forward and reverse to drive or back out fasteners.
  • Use the LED job light to see what you are working on in low light.
  • Clip the tool to your belt between tasks.
  • Fit a compatible Makita 18V LXT battery before use. Battery and charger are not included with this skin-only version.

Important notes
This is a tool-only (skin) product, supplied without a battery, charger or bits. It runs on the 18V LXT battery platform. Use correctly sized, good quality 1/4 inch hex impact-rated bits for the best results. Always let the driver do the work rather than forcing it, and let the tool and battery cool if they become hot with heavy use.
