Description
Mandala Art Mosaic Grout Sealer & Waterproof Additive is a 1L acrylic-based liquid made for mosaic artists and hobbyists who want to strengthen, seal and waterproof their grout with a single product. It can be mixed into grout powder or brushed over finished work, which makes it handy for outdoor pieces such as birdbaths and pavers.
About the formula
An acrylic-based white liquid that adds strength and flexibility to grout. Used correctly, it gives the grout water resistance, helps reduce mould growth and deepens the grout colour. It leaves a slight sheen on the finished surface.
Where to use it
Indoors: mosaic artworks, craft projects and decorative pieces where you want stronger, sealed grout lines.
Outdoors: birdbaths, outdoor pavers and garden mosaics that will be exposed to moisture.
It can also be used as a surface sealer on wood and MDF, and on porous surfaces such as terracotta and ceramic.
How to use it
For a waterproof grout, use the additive in place of the water when you mix your grout powder, then stir to a smooth, toothpaste-like consistency and apply as normal. For extra strength and durability, you can brush a final coat of the additive over the project once the grout has dried. As a surface sealer, brush it onto the clean, dry surface. Check the product label for mixing and drying details, as the correct method matters for good results.
Important notes
The manufacturer does not recommend this product for large works such as swimming pools. Water resistance and waterproofing depend on correct use. Use as directed on the label, and do a small test on a spare piece first if you are unsure about a surface. Specific mixing ratios, drying times and coverage have not been confirmed here, so please follow the pack instructions.

Safety
Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged skin contact, use in a well-ventilated area, and wash hands and tools after use. If it gets in the eyes, rinse with plenty of water.
