The Master Lock Wall Mounted Key Safe (model 5401DAU) is a permanent, keyless spot to store spare keys at home, at a rental or on a work site. It has a metal body, a combination you set yourself and a shutter that covers the dials, so you can leave a key for family, tradies or guests without hiding it under a pot plant or doormat.
About the product
The 83mm wide metal body is built for durability and is designed to be fixed to a wall for permanent installation. You choose your own 4-digit combination, so there is no key to carry and no code you are stuck with. A shutter door covers the combination dials to help keep out weather, dirt and grime. The roomy internal cavity is meant to stop keys jamming, even with several on the one ring, and the moulded body and vinyl-coated shackle help limit scratching. Where to use it
Indoors: inside a garage, shed, entry or utility area where you want shared key access without handing out copies.
Outdoors: beside a front door, on a fence or gate post, or at a rental, holiday home or work site entry, with the shutter closed over the dials between uses.
How to use it
- Choose a firm, flat mounting surface at a convenient height, such as brick, timber or a solid fence post.
- Use the predrilled mounting holes to fix the lock box in place with screws and fixings that suit your wall type.
- Set your own 4-digit combination following the instructions supplied with the product.
- Place your keys inside, close the door and cover the dials with the shutter.
- Change the code from time to time, especially after sharing it with others.
Important notes
This is a key safe for storing keys, not a fire-rated or waterproof safe, and it does not have a drill-resistant hard plate. It is not intended for firearms or high-value items. The shutter protects the dials from weather, but the unit is not rated as waterproof. Rated for both residential and commercial use. Fixing strength depends on the surface and fixings you use, so choose them to suit your wall.

Care and storage
Keep the shutter closed over the dials when not in use to protect them from dirt and weather. Wipe the outside with a damp cloth if it gets dusty or grimy. Choose a code that is not easy to guess, avoid using your street number or birth date, and keep the combination away from children.
