Description
The Monarch Heavy Duty Skeleton Caulking Gun is a sturdy, lightweight steel applicator for dispensing silicone, gap filler and adhesive from standard cartridges, suited to both home projects and everyday trade use. It pushes material out smoothly and evenly, and its built-in extras help you get from opening a cartridge to laying a neat bead with minimal fuss.
About the tool
The skeleton-style frame is made from powder coated steel plate, which keeps the gun strong without making it heavy to hold through a long day of sealing. A quick release push lever lets you free the plunger and swap cartridges in seconds. Built-in extras include a seal punch for piercing the cartridge foil, a nozzle cleaner, and a ladder hook so the gun can hang safely while you work at height.
Where to use it
Indoors: sealing around baths, basins, sinks, benchtops, skirtings, architraves and window frames, and applying gap filler or adhesive to internal fittings.
Outdoors: sealing and gap filling around external joinery, trims and cladding, and applying construction adhesives on site.
It is designed to suit all standard cartridges, including silicone, gap filler and adhesive cartridges.
How to use it
Release the plunger with the push lever and pull it back fully. Cut the cartridge nozzle to the bead size you need, then use the seal punch to pierce the inner foil seal. Drop the cartridge into the frame, push the plunger forward until it meets the cartridge, and squeeze the trigger with steady, even pressure while guiding the nozzle along the joint at a slight angle. Release the plunger pressure when you finish a run so material stops flowing, then wipe the tip clean. Use the nozzle cleaner to clear a blocked nozzle.
Important notes
This is a manual hand tool and is not supplied with cartridges or sealant. Wipe off any residual product before it cures and keep the plunger rod and frame clean so the mechanism stays smooth. Check that your cartridge is a standard size before use. Product features may vary slightly between production batches.

Safety
Use with normal care. Wear gloves and safety glasses when cutting nozzles or piercing seals, and take care around the sharp seal punch. Keep out of reach of children and store the gun in a dry place.
