Description
The Moroday MDS4 Brush Door Seal is a white, surface-mounted sweep seal that closes off the gap under a swinging or sliding door, supplied as a single 915mm length. A dense nylon brush faces the gap, so it copes well with rough or uneven floors where a rigid or rubber seal would leave openings.
About the product
The seal pairs a PVC extrusion with a nylon brush. The brush is designed to bridge gaps of roughly 10 to 20mm under a door. The strip is self adhesive, and it can also be fixed with screws if you want a more positive hold. It sits on the face of the door, so the door does not need to come off its hinges or track.
Where to use it
Indoors: the bottom edge of internal swinging doors, or the edge of sliding doors, to cut draughts, dust and insects.
Outdoors: external doors and sliding doors where a brush seal is wanted over a gap. It is rated for both interior and exterior use.
The brush is especially useful over rough textured floors such as slate or uneven tiles, where the bristles follow the surface better than a flat blade.
How to use it
- Measure the width of your door and trim the strip to length if needed. The full length is 915mm.
- Clean and dry the mounting face of the door so the adhesive backing can grip.
- Peel back the backing, position the seal so the brush meets the floor, and press it firmly along its length.
- For extra security, or on a surface where the adhesive is not enough, the strip can be screwed on instead.
- Check that the door still opens and closes freely over your floor surface.
Important notes
The seal is intended for gaps of about 10 to 20mm, so measure your gap before buying. Very wide or very narrow gaps may need a different style of seal. Adhesion depends on a clean, dry, sound surface. Test the fit before fully peeling the backing, as repositioning is limited once stuck down.

Care and storage
Keep the brush free of grit and debris by wiping or brushing it down occasionally. Store unused seals flat in a cool, dry place so the strip and adhesive backing do not warp. Keep out of reach of small children.
