Description
Permastik Medium Picture Strips let you hang framed pictures and canvases without drilling, nails or screws, and this value pack gives you 30 pairs of strips for hanging plenty of artwork around the home. They suit lighter frames and are designed to come off cleanly when you want to move or change things around.
About the product
Each pair is a self-adhesive picture hanging strip that sticks to the wall on one side and to the back of the frame on the other. Four pairs are used per picture, and a set of four holds up to 3kg, for pictures up to 25cm x 25cm. The strips are white and small and flat, at roughly 15mm wide, 45mm long and 2mm thick, so they sit neatly behind the frame.
Where to use it
Indoors: lightweight framed prints, photos and canvases in lounge rooms, bedrooms, hallways, studies and offices, where you want to avoid holes in the wall.
Outdoors: not recommended, as outdoor use is not listed by the manufacturer.
Suitable surfaces include coated timber, metal, tile, painted plasterboard and glass, as long as the surface is smooth, clean and dry. Test a small area first on delicate or textured finishes.
How to use it
- Clean the wall and the back of the frame so they are free of dust, grease and moisture.
- Peel the protective liners off one side of the strips and press them firmly in place on the back of the frame, using four pairs for each picture.
- Peel the remaining liners, line up the picture and press it firmly against the wall.
- To remove, pull the tab on each strip and lift the picture away from the wall to take the strips off.
Important notes
Stay within the rated load of 3kg per set of four pairs and the maximum picture size of 25cm x 25cm. For heavier or larger frames, choose a stronger strip or a conventional fixing. Hang a picture only on a surface that is stable, and avoid damp, steamy or greasy areas. Wall paints and finishes vary, so check that the paint is well cured and firmly attached before hanging.

Care and storage
Store the unused strips in their original pack in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of young children, as the strips are small. Check hung pictures from time to time, and remove the strips promptly if a frame starts to sag or shift.
