Description
The Permastik Removable Insect Screen Kit lets fresh air into your home while helping keep flies, mosquitoes and other insects out, and it is made to go up without screws, drills or other hardware. It covers windows up to 1.5m x 1.3m and can be trimmed down for smaller openings, which makes it a handy fix for rentals, caravans, boats and campers where a permanent screen is not an option.
About the product
The kit is built around a black polyester mesh that is UV resistant, so it is made to cope with Australian sun. The screen is designed to be fitted and taken down again without fixings, so you can put it up for the warmer months and remove it when you no longer need it.
Where to use it
Indoors: windows in rental homes, apartments, bedrooms and living areas where you want airflow without the bugs.
Outdoors and on the go: caravan, boat and camper windows, plus other openings where you need a quick, non-permanent insect barrier.
How to use it
- Measure the window or opening you want to cover. The kit suits openings up to 1.5m x 1.3m.
- Cut the mesh down to suit if your opening is smaller than the maximum size.
- Fit the screen following the instructions supplied with the kit. No hardware, tools or fixings are needed.
- Check that the screen sits snugly around the opening so there are no gaps for insects to get through.
Important notes
Measure carefully before cutting, as trimmed mesh cannot be made larger again. For best results, make sure the surface around the opening is clean and dry before fitting. This is an insect screen only and is not designed as a security screen.

Care and storage
Keep the screen clean by wiping or gently washing it with mild soapy water and letting it dry fully. Handle the mesh gently to avoid snags or tears, and store it flat or loosely rolled in a cool, dry place when it is not in use. Keep out of reach of young children.
