Description
The Premier Blue Garage Door Weather Seal is a 5.2 metre replacement bottom seal made to retrofit most Gliderol garage doors, helping to keep leaves, dust and debris out of your garage. It is made in Australia from UV protected PVC and is designed to slide straight into the existing bottom rail of the door, so a worn or damaged seal can be replaced without specialist tools.
About the product
This is a flexible PVC seal strip that fits into the channel along the bottom of the door and sits against the floor when the door is closed. The UV protected PVC is intended to cope with outdoor exposure. The 5.2 m length is cut to suit your door, which is handy for wide doors and leaves spare material for trimming.
Where to use it
Indoors: sits in the bottom rail of the garage door on the inside of the opening, forming a barrier at floor level.
Outdoors: faces the weather at the base of the door, reducing the amount of leaves, dust and debris that blow or wash into the garage.
How to use it
- Open the door to a comfortable working height and gain access to one end of the bottom rail. You may need to loosen one door guide to do this.
- Slide the old seal out of the bottom rail.
- Lubricate the rail with soapy water, then slide the new seal into the rail along its full length.
- Re-tighten the door guide, then trim any excess so the seal finishes neatly at each end.
Important notes
This listing is the Gliderol version, so compare the profile of your existing seal with the product before you buy. Other Premier Blue seals are made for other door brands. Leaving a little extra length at each end when trimming is sensible, because PVC can move slightly with temperature. Some installs may take two people, especially on wide doors. The seal is for the bottom of the door only. A separate floor seal and adaptor rail are sold individually if you need them.

Care and storage
Keep the seal clean by wiping it down with mild soapy water now and then, and clear any trapped grit from the rail when you replace it. Store the coil flat or loosely coiled in a cool, dry place out of direct sun until you are ready to install it. Inspect the seal periodically and replace it when it hardens, cracks or no longer sits snugly against the floor.
