Description
Endeavour QuickDeck is a premium water-based decking oil from Prep Productions, built for people who want a protected deck without the long dry times and strong odour of traditional solvent oils. Its oil-modified acrylic resin defends exterior timber on three fronts: it blocks moisture penetration, resists fungal growth and shields the boards from UV damage. Because it is water based, it dries fast, has low odour and low VOC content, and tools wash out in water.
Formula overview
An oil-modified acrylic formula in a water base: a blend of water-soluble polymer resins refined to combine the penetrating character of an oil with the quick, low-odour convenience of an acrylic. The liquid is lightly coloured and dries to a transparent matt finish that lets the timber grain show through.
Where to use it
Outdoor: decks, garden furniture, pergolas, fences, gates and other exterior timbers.
Indoor: not intended for interior floors or furniture. This is an exterior decking finish.
How to use
- Stir well before use, as the product may settle on standing.
- Prepare the surface first: new or weathered boards should be cleaned with Endeavour Timber Deck Cleaner and allowed to dry.
- Apply with a brush or lambswool applicator.
- Apply 2 coats, allowing 24 hours before recoating.
- Coverage is up to 14 square metres per litre depending on timber porosity.
- Wash tools in water immediately after use.
Important notes
- The finish is transparent matt: it enhances the timber tone but will not give an opaque colour.
- Apply in dry weather and avoid application if rain is expected before the coating has dried. Check the label for temperature and weather guidance.
- Results depend on preparation: grey, weathered timber should be cleaned back to sound wood first.
