Description
The Ring Indoor Camera (2nd Gen) in white is a compact plug-in security camera that lets you check in on your home from your phone, day or night. It records in 1080p HD with colour night vision. A manual privacy cover lets you switch off both the camera and the microphone whenever you want some privacy.
About the product
This is a small, wired indoor camera that plugs into a standard power point, so there are no batteries to charge. It gives you real-time Live View, motion alerts with Advanced Pre-Roll, and Two-Way Talk so you can speak to whoever is in front of the camera. A swivel-style privacy cover blocks the lens and turns off the microphone, which keeps you in control of what the camera sees and hears. The camera connects to your home Wi-Fi through the Ring app.
Where to use it
Indoors: living areas, hallways, entryways, kids' rooms, home offices or anywhere you would like an extra set of eyes inside the house. Set it on a shelf or table, or mount it on a wall using the supplied bracket.
Outdoors: not designed for outdoor use. Keep it inside the home.
How to use it
- Plug the camera into a standard power point using the supplied power adapter and cable.
- Follow the setup steps in the Ring app to connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
- Place it on a flat surface, or fix it to a wall with the mounting bracket and screws provided.
- Open the app to view Live View, receive motion alerts and talk through the camera with Two-Way Talk.
- Swivel the privacy cover over the lens when you want the camera and microphone switched off.
- Pair with a Ring Chime or a compatible Alexa-enabled device if you would like to hear audio notifications around the house.

Important notes
Real-time notifications, Live View and Two-Way Talk are available at no extra cost on compatible Ring devices. Saving recorded video for later viewing (up to 180 days), person alerts and other extras need a Ring Protect plan, which is sold separately. A Wi-Fi connection and the Ring app are required. For best performance Ring recommends a stable home internet connection. This camera is intended for indoor use only.

Care and storage
Keep the camera and power adapter dry and away from heat sources. Use it indoors within the temperature range given by Ring, and wipe the body gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not leave power cables where they can be tripped over or pulled by children or pets. Keep small parts such as screws out of reach of young children.
