The Ring Indoor Camera (2nd Gen) in black is a compact plug-in security camera that gives you a live look at your home in 1080p HD, day or night. It is easy to set up, small enough to sit almost anywhere indoors, and includes a manual privacy cover so you decide when it is watching.
About the product
The camera streams real-time 1080p HD video to the Ring app, so you can check in on pets, kids, entryways or living areas from wherever you are. Colour Night Vision keeps the picture useful after dark, and motion alerts with Advanced Pre-Roll help you see what led up to an event. Two-Way Talk lets you speak to whoever is in view. A swivel privacy cover physically blocks the lens and switches off the microphone when you want full privacy.
Where to use it
Indoors: living rooms, hallways, entryways, home offices, garages and pet areas, anywhere within reach of a standard power point. The camera is designed for indoor use only.
How to use it
- Plug the camera into a standard indoor power point using the supplied power adapter and cable.
- Stand it on a shelf or flat surface, or fix it to a wall with the mounting bracket.
- Set it up through the Ring app and connect it to your home Wi-Fi.
- Use Live View and Two-Way Talk from your phone, and swivel the privacy cover over the lens whenever you want audio and video switched off.
- Pair it with a Ring Chime or a compatible Alexa-enabled device to hear audio notifications around your home.
Important notes
Real-time notifications, Live View and Two-Way Talk are available at no extra cost. To record, review and share events you missed, you need a Ring subscription (sold separately). A 30-day free trial is included with purchase. A Ring Protect plan can keep recordings for up to 180 days. The camera needs a power point and a Wi-Fi connection to work. Colours may look slightly different on screen to the actual product.

Keep the camera away from water, heat sources and direct moisture, and wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not cover the lens or vents when it is in use. Keep the power cable out of reach of small children and pets, and store the unit in a cool, dry place when not in use.
