Description
Roberts Quick-Repair Floor Putty in Greige is a ready-to-use acrylic filler for patching gaps, nicks and scratches in laminate, hybrid, vinyl and engineered timber floors, supplied in a handy 88ml squeeze tube. It suits both flooring installers and home owners, and the neutral grey-beige shade can be used on its own or mixed with other Roberts putty colours to blend into your floor.
About the formula
An acrylic-based putty that is ready to use straight from the tube, with no mixing and no tools needed beyond a putty knife. It dries quickly, is formulated not to shrink, and can be sanded or painted once dry. It is low in VOCs, and the tube has a shelf life of two years.
Where to use it
Indoors: filling nail and screw holes left after laying a floor, closing small gaps at plank edges, and hiding chips, nicks and scratches on floors that are already installed.
Outdoors: not intended for outdoor use.
Suitable surfaces include laminate, hybrid flooring, vinyl (plank and tile) and engineered timber flooring.
How to use it
Make sure the area is clean and free of grease, dirt and loose debris. Choose the shade closest to your floor, ideally matching the lightest base colour of the surface, or blend two colours together to get a closer match. Knead the tube thoroughly for at least 20 seconds, cut the tip to suit the size of the repair, then press the putty into the damaged area with a putty knife until it is filled. Wipe away excess with a damp rag straight away and do not let it dry on the surrounding floor. Once dry, the repair can be lightly sanded or painted if needed.
Important notes
Colour is best checked on a small hidden spot first, as the shade can look different once dry and on different floors. Store the tube at room temperature and do not let it freeze, as freezing may affect performance. Reseal the tube after use. This putty is made for floor repairs and is not designed to be a structural adhesive or a wet area sealant.
