Description
Roberts Quick-Repair Floor Putty in Natural is a ready-to-use acrylic repair putty for patching gaps, nicks and scratches in laminate, hybrid, vinyl and engineered timber floors, supplied in an 88ml squeeze tube. It works for both fresh installations and repairs to existing floors, and it can be mixed with other Roberts shades when you need a closer colour match.
About the formula
An acrylic-based putty that comes ready to use straight from the tube. The manufacturer describes it as fast drying, non-shrinking and easy to sand or paint once dry. It is low VOC and has a two-year shelf life. Natural is a light beige base shade that suits many flooring tones. It can be used on its own or blended with other shades in the range.
Where to use it
Indoors: fill nail and screw holes left during floor installation, close small gaps at plank edges, and touch up nicks, chips and scratches on existing floors.
Suitable floors include laminate, hybrid, vinyl (including luxury vinyl plank and tile) and engineered timber.
How to use it
Start with a clean surface, free of dust and debris. Pick the shade that best matches the repair. The manufacturer advises matching to the lightest base colour of the floor, and you can mix shades to fine-tune it. Knead the tube thoroughly for at least 20 seconds, cut the tip to suit the bead size you need, and squeeze the putty into the damaged area. Work it into the gap, nick or scratch with a putty knife. Wipe off the excess straight away with a damp rag and do not let it dry on the surrounding floor. Once dry it can be lightly sanded or painted if needed.
Important notes
Putty can dry to a slightly different shade from how it looks in the tube, so test a small, discreet spot first. Reseal the tube after use, because putty left exposed can dry out. Mix and match shades before applying, not after. Check the manufacturer instructions if you plan to coat the repair with a clear finish.

Safety
It is a low VOC, water-based acrylic putty. As with any building product, keep it out of reach of children, avoid contact with eyes, and wash your hands after use. Store the tube sealed in a cool place. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for full details.
