Description
Seachem Flourish Glue is a cyanoacrylate gel made for aquascaping, supplied here as a twin pack of 4g aluminium tubes (8g in total). It lets you fix moss and plants to rocks, driftwood and even gravel without thread or weights, and it can be used underwater in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
About the formula
A gel-style cyanoacrylate that bonds within seconds and gives good control, hold and durability. The gel body stays where you put it rather than running, which makes tiny, precise placements easier. The aluminium tube is designed to keep the glue stable for longer than a plastic bottle, so it should not dry up in the tube when the cap is replaced properly.
Where to use it
Indoors: attaching moss, epiphytic plants and bunch plants to hardscape in freshwater or saltwater aquariums, and making small plastic repairs on tank accessories.
Outdoors: not specifically positioned for outdoor use, so check the job suits a fast-setting cyanoacrylate first.
Suitable materials include rock, driftwood and aquarium gravel for plant and moss attachment, plus plastics for repairs (test a small area first).
How to use it
Dispense a small amount of glue each time you use it. Apply a little to the moss or plant roots, then press it against the surface for about 20 seconds. For bunch plants, apply the glue to the base, then plant as usual and the stems stay rooted in the substrate. Wipe the tip clean of glue before putting the cap back on.
Important notes
The manufacturer advises against using this product to stick items to glass surfaces. Use only a small amount per spot, as a little goes a long way. Like all cyanoacrylates it bonds skin quickly, so take care to keep it off your fingers.
