Stanley Dual Temp Mini Glue Sticks 7mm x 100mm (24 Pack)

Description

Stanley Dual Temp Mini Glue Sticks are all-purpose hot melt glue sticks for 7mm mini glue guns, supplied here as a 24-pack of 100mm sticks for craft, hobby and household jobs. They are made for mini hot melt, low temperature and dual temperature guns, so you can bond delicate, heat-sensitive materials as well as everyday items.

About the formula
A thermoplastic hot melt adhesive based on ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) and petroleum resin, with no solvents to evaporate. Because it is a dual melt formula, it can be run on a low heat setting for materials that would be damaged by high heat, or on a high heat setting for harder, non-porous surfaces. The glue sets quickly as it cools, usually within about 15 to 30 seconds.

Where to use it
Low temperature setting: paper, ribbon, foam and other delicate or heat-sensitive materials in craft and hobby projects.
High temperature setting: china and leather, and general household repairs and fastening jobs.

Suitable materials include paper, cardboard, leather, china and other non-porous surfaces, and heat-sensitive craft materials such as polystyrene foam, ribbon and dried flowers. Test on a small, hidden area first if you are unsure how a material will react to heat.

How to use it

  • Check that your glue gun takes 7mm mini glue sticks. These sticks are not compatible with standard 11mm glue guns.
  • Make sure surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust and grease.
  • Load a stick into the gun and let it heat fully. Choose the low setting for delicate materials or the high setting for china, leather and other non-porous surfaces, if your gun has a temperature switch.
  • Apply the glue to one surface, press the parts together straight away and hold them still until the glue sets.
  • Unplug the gun and rest it safely when you finish.

Important notes
Work quickly, as hot melt glue starts to set within seconds of application. Molten glue and the gun nozzle can cause burns, so keep them away from skin and children. Hot melt adhesive is not designed for heavy structural loads or for surfaces that stay hot, because the bond can soften when reheated. Glue guns are sold separately.
